-Life Thoughts-
I’m sitting here with Pink watching whatever I stumble on today.. Right now I’m watching Bride &Prejudice. I definitely had some thoughts about this program because some clips that they are airings are things that I thought they would’ve done before they got engaged they should have gone through the neighborhood tours and working on family relationship should have been done way before this time. I definitely do not agree with some of the Parents being negative. Unfortunately in my personal life I have had some similar issues, I don’t agree with parental control in relationships I believe that relationships are between two people and what others think should not come into the equation. If the couple is happy then the couple is happy mom and dad sister and brother etc. do not have to have any fucking stay in the relationship as far as I’m concerned. That’s fine if the families of their own feelings and opinions but it’s a shame that so many times family drama kicks up because someone isn’t happy with something or someone. All that is important is that your family member is happy in the relationship and the relationship is a positive safe situation. Families should not be judging the significant other of their family member unless there’s a significant legal reason why they have a problem. When you judge somebody based on their race or the religion, their disability or orientation it is being prejudice. Bottom line love is love. When a parent tells their child you’ve moved up after meeting his partner for the first time it kind it indicates that none of The past relationships were acceptable to them. To me having a parent or an in law who is judge mental of their child’s partner is absolutely unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any instance in my mind The parent should just be happy with the fact that your child is happy.
With regard to the couples on #BrideAndPrejudice- honestly I do not know if these relationships are going to work in the long term because of the things I’ve seen over the television there is definite drama and there are definitely issues that should have been discussed way before the engagement.
