Weekend 5/10

Hello friends, I find myself in my cozy apartment, embracing the tranquility of the day while watching “Cops” and listening to the public safety radio, with coffee and water at hand. My mind drifts into daydreams, reflecting on the myriad experiences that shape my journeyβ€”both the joyful and the challenging, as well as the utterly unique. Recently, I shared updates about my knitting adventures and the various yarns I work with. My collection has flourished, and though it overflows, it still fits beautifully on the wall. With enough yarn for countless projects into 2025 and beyond, I feel a sense of abundance and creativity. My bedding, though not of hotel quality, is plentiful and serves me well, bringing comfort and warmth to my twin bed, shared with my dear Lulu Rose. While I occasionally dream of a seaside hotel escape, I cherish my basement sanctuary, a nostalgic retreat echoing the comfort of the 60s and 70s. Although I prefer to stay in unless absolutely necessary, I feel grateful for the small circle of friendsβ€”primarily onlineβ€”who enrich my life. In my 40s, I possess a youthful spirit and recognize the critical importance of surrounding myself with positivity and joy on this journey.

I also want to highlight my police patch and travel patch collection. I’ve been collecting patches for as long as I can remember, and I’m now expanding into hotel and security patches. My travels in youth were abundant, and I’m grateful I experienced them when I did, especially given today’s political traveling climate. I don’t shy away from controversy; I speak my truth in all that I do, and those who know me recognize my unwavering loyalty to those who contribute positively to this country and the world. I ventured into the political realm several years ago before the pandemic, working for the county. While I enjoyed my role in the community, I also value my private citizen life. I remain vigilant and committed to the principle of “see something, say something,” regardless of the surrounding chaos.
