My Daily Thoughts
I cannot believe how quickly this year is flying by! As I sit here on my bed with my knitting and all my bills paid, I realize that last month I may have gone overboard with my craft shopping. I ended up buying way more yarn and accessories than I had planned. While I don’t regret treating myself once in a while, I do need to be more mindful of my spending. I’m also thinking about my future projects and what I want to achieve in the next chapter of my life. I never want to feel directionless again.
On the personal front, I’m grateful to have a small circle of family and friends whom I trust. I’m never alone for too long, especially with my ever-present emotional support pet. Also, my recent yarn restock was to replace the poor quality of the yarn I had donated.
In other news, I’ve been focusing on teaching myself how to crochet and expanding my presence on TikTok. I’ve made some crafting and nomad friends, although I’ve noticed that my nomad friends are not as communicative or reliable as my crafting friends. I understand that offline friendships are crucial for the nomad community, given their seasonal jobs, but I’ve also observed some individuals on TikTok who seem to be taking advantage of the platform to beg for money, despite making a liveable wage working. I believe in using social media to build a business, but outright begging is just not right.
