Reddit X TikTok Statement

Hello everyone. I might be speaking to myself here, but I don’t care. My main account has been put on a seven-day ban for a violation I wasn’t even aware of, so now I have to start fresh. Figuring out what I want to follow has been challenging, especially since I’ve never faced this. I use this platform to gather information and express my opinions, whether anyone likes it or not. Perhaps that’s the issue—some people can’t handle differing views.

We live in a time when folks get upset over the slightest things because they lack resilience. I am fortunate to have grown up in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, and I’m blessed to be best friends with someone from the same era. If I have to recreate my Reddit account, then so be it, but it’s frustrating considering my account was seven years old. I don’t always use Reddit, but I value it for its community. However, it’s clear that if specific moderators disagree with your opinions, you can find yourself in trouble. That’s incredibly annoying.

I also want to address something happening on TikTok lately, at least in my experience. Some creators are becoming overly sensitive and challenging to deal with. When people act in a way I can’t tolerate, my best option is to step away from that community or take a break. If you have thousands of followers and multiple platforms to engage with what you call friends, you need to show respect for their opinions, especially when they think you’ve crossed a line. Negative responses, whether in videos or written replies, don’t reflect well on you. That’s when I lose respect for someone—if they can’t recognize when they’re overreacting.

Additionally, many people are outraged about various issues in this country and have a distorted view of life. I genuinely feel for those who think leaving the country is the solution to their grievances. It’s laughable that Donald Trump has suggested revoking citizenship from certain celebrities he dislikes. To some extent, I agree: if you’re going to speak down on your country and express only negativity, then perhaps you should go where you think things will be better. But they might not be; not every nation is as accepting and understanding as the United States.

When you come to this country, a nation my ancestors helped build, know I will defend it, regardless of my feelings toward the current administration. I will also protect my family, including first responders and military veterans. So could you not test me? Understand that I will stand firm for what I believe in.
