OK, I just went off about a situation on TikTok that has been bothering me for a while. I was debating whether or not to express my feelings about Madison. I’ ve had feelings that weren’ t exactly warm and fuzzy for some time, but when she decided to attack her viewers for being negative- especially when all we did was share concerns about her safety- that’ s where I draw the line. I don’ t like it when someone dismisses concerns simply because she doesn’ t agree politically. Another thing that drives me crazy is how she’ s so high and mighty about protecting her privacy and her family, yet she openly talks about her promiscuous dating life, travels to see bands, meet guys, etc. I don’ t doubt that she’ s a hardworking person who earns her time off to enjoy herself, but when she claims she’ s sober, yet smokes CBD, drinks nonalcoholic beverages, and consumes KAVA- which has its own set of side effects- and then boasts about how during the Thanksgiving holiday she was given mashed potatoes that she didn’ t know contained marijuana, it’ s frustrating. There are many ways people try to disguise being sober or honest, but I have a lot of issues with people like that, and I don’ t enjoy being around them. Maybe that’ s why I’ m less involved in the group I used to be part of or why I’ m not as active on TikTok anymore- maybe I just have a nose for sensing BS. Today, I plan to spend the day knitting, staying hydrated, staying warm, and keeping an eye on the Rob Reiner murder case. Speaking of knitting, I’ ve really been enjoying working with lightweight, or DK weight, yarn lately, especially using size 1. 1.5 needles. Something about them is amazing because they help me maintain my tension and create more beautiful, creative pieces. I know my yarn stash is overflowing with all kinds of beautiful materials, but I buy yarn with intention- even if it seems like overkill. In the crafting world, people say you can never have too much yarn, and most of the time, that’ s true. It’ s better to have an abundance than not enough, especially when you’ re unsure what you want to make or which yarn to use. Sometimes I want to knit with specific colors, and my favorites change with the season, but I also find some shades appealing that others might not.
