Good morning and welcome to the time between holidays. I’m enjoying a peaceful moment in the kitchen, knitting and watching YouTube while sipping coffee and listening to public radio. Life has been quite pleasant lately, as I’ve managed to move past the stress and frustration I once felt, leaving that emotional roller coaster behind.
While some may suggest that discussing my past relationship isnβt advisable, I believe itβs important for my mental health to express my thoughts and experiences. If that is difficult for others to understand or accept, perhaps our paths are meant to diverge. Sharing aspects of my lifeβbeyond just entertainment, sports, or community storiesβhas been a part of my journey for over a decade. Iβve found that articulating my feelings can be a valuable substitute for professional mental health support.
I’ve discovered effective ways to find my peace through platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. I am grateful for my friends, both those who have stood by me through challenging times and new friendships that have developed in recent months. In particular, Iβve formed meaningful connections on TikTok in 2024 that have provided support that I may not have received in longer-term relationships.
Regrettably, my last relationship was marked by betrayal and dishonesty, which has made it necessary for me to set clear boundaries. Despite attempts to continue contact, I must prioritize my well-being. The reality of the situation is that this individual has misrepresented their life circumstances, and I believe it is best for us to part ways definitively.
Looking forward, I am optimistic about the coming year and am open to the possibility of a relationship that aligns with my values and energy. For now, my focus is on enjoying meaningful connections and nurturing the friendships I have. While there is nothing set in stone, I feel fortunate to have a supportive network around me.
