JAFC Weekend Note 5/9/25

hello friends, I am sitting in the apartment working on a project, using big twist from Joanne fabrics and crafts who has gone out of business, but the yarn itself big twist; has been purchased by Herrschners crafts, which is very good for those who use it all the time. I don’t know what my future is going to be with this yarn because as of right now I’m working with a rough skein and it is supposed to be better than super saver value yarn. I’m going to finish this project. I’m working and I’m gonna use the rest of the yarn. I have left. However, I’m weighing the decision on whether to make additional purchases. I’ve navigated switch-outs in the past when certain products didn’t meet my expectations, and I’m open to making that choice again if necessary.

My yarn stash is currently impressive and well-organized, which I take pride in. I wanted to share this update regarding my experience. While the colors are stunning, the texture of this specific skein is not living up to my standards. I hope everyone’s day is going better than mine; I’m still dealing with the lingering effects of an allergy/sinus infection. On a positive note, I managed to restock my imitation Starbucks breakfast wraps, and they’re fantastic.

I spent this morning out and about running errands, including a trip to the grocery store, but I’m now back in my apartment, tuned into “Cops,” and unwinding, which is how I usually spend my days. Here’s to finding the right yarn that meets my expectations!
