October Opinions

Hello, and welcome to another brain blast of opinions. As I sit here knitting and sipping my coffee this morning, I’m thinking about everything happening in our nation and around the world. I’m deeply concerned by the state of things—not only here in the United States, where we have freedom of religion and freedom of speech, but across the globe. We also have political radicals on both sides pushing their agendas. In some respects, I agree with conservative views, particularly the importance of protecting our nation. I strongly oppose what Democrats are trying to reestablish, and I’m concerned about our future, both nationally and in the world of sports.

Philadelphia is a mess right now. Our football team is in shambles, the Phillies’ season has ended without a World Series appearance, and basketball and hockey are just getting underway. I’m especially concerned about the football team and the medical department’s mismanagement that brought us to this point. I’m glad the situation involving our quarterback has reportedly reached the Supreme Court, whether at the state level or beyond. I’m not impressed by coaches brushing it off and refusing to discuss it. I care more about the players than the organization, and I always have—whether it’s baseball, football, NASCAR, or anything else.

Speaking of NASCAR, a driver I follow, though I’m not particularly a fan, is reportedly headed for divorce. I’m following Kyle Busch’s situation closely.

We’ve lost Dolly Parton, and the chaos coming out of that camp—lawsuits, money disputes, fighting, and all the rest—is upsetting. Dolly was like my dad in how she kept the family together and stopped people from saying something foolish or going off the rails. We also lost John Anderson. Many people may not know his name, but he was one of the greatest artists in country music.

Jay-Z is acting like a “cunt waffle” by saying he’ll be the halftime entertainment. We want good football and good music, and we need someone other than Jay-Z, Beyoncé, or Sean Combs. Combs, meanwhile, has been transferred from Fort Dix to another prison in my home state, and I’m not impressed. I’m just grateful I’m not in that county, paying for this bullshit.

We have Josh Shapiro as “governor,” and it’s embarrassing. Still, I’m sitting here in my apartment feeling content, even though the political state of the world has gone to hell. Don’t blame President Donald J. Trump: his party didn’t destroy America in the years before he took office. I strongly believe Barack Obama was the ghostwriter behind the Biden administration, and I believe we’ll face major problems if Democrats return to the White House.

I also want to stress that I’ve always believed the independent party and other political parties should have a chance at the White House, the vice presidency, and other offices. We also need to rid our country of political figures who were not born in America.
