I really have to give myself credit when it comes to choosing the types of yarn I like. I am actively liquidating different brands from my inventory due to inadequacy. The yarns that remain in my inventory are not only the fortunate ones, but they also have the best quality and look the prettiest. The yarn I just started working with was ordered from Amazon, specifically Premier Yarns. If youβre seeking quality and beauty at an affordable price, this is the yarn to use if you want a lightweight option. Currently, I have 12 units, with four more on the way. Two different colors are arriving in two balls each, which Iβm confident will be restocked soon because just feeling the texture gets me excited to work with it. As a crafter with over 30 years of experience, I donβt follow pattern or needle/hook recommendations because each artist has their own tension. Not everyone knits loosely, crochets loosely, and the same goes for those with tighter tension. The needle or hook size youβre comfortable with is a personal choice. However, I will say that I prefer certain brands, and when I post on Meta platforms, I tag and reference them because Iβm not the kind of artist to gatekeep what I like. Sitting here during the first big snowstorm in the Northeast, Iβm definitely going to get a lot of yarn work done. Besides the Premier Yarns DK weight, I also love Lion Brand yarn in DK weight. It may take more of that yarn to create something beautiful, but thatβs okay. As long as I come up with something I like, thatβs what matters most. To sum up the day, it will be spent knitting, relaxing, and watching the playful chaos unfold outside my window.
