march 10 #BrainDump

Hey friends, I’ve made a decision: today is going to be a mandated mental health day. I need time away, plain and simple. I’ve mentioned before that I often don’t feel completely accepted in certain communities. Despite being on social media for decades, I still haven’t found a niche where I truly belong. Even though I’m currently in a quiet environment, I still feel out of place in various aspects of life. That’s why I’m fully embracing my surroundings right now.

I’m thrilled to be living in one of my top three desired locationsβ€”my basement. I once thought a cottage in the woods or an RV-camper would be ideal, but I’m realizing my preferences have evolved. Thanks to YouTube, I’m learning about all sorts of adventures, including the fascinating oddities found in abandoned buildings. I’ve been actively posting on all my channels, and I find great joy in self-teaching; it allows me to hone in on what truly resonates with me.

Living among my yarn is incredibly relaxing. Right now, I’m focused on two projects and reveling in the variety of yarn I’m using. While they come from the same manufacturer, the textures and qualities vary significantly. It makes me frustrated that companies often compromise production quality. When I started crafting back in the 90s, I never had issues with the materials I used. However, over the years, some brands have really slipped, which is why I’m selective about what enters my stash and which brands I choose to support.
