RHY_super saver/neon stripes

Hello and welcome to another entry. I’ve been actively working on multiple knitting projects lately. In this photo, you’ll see a mini blanket that I’m not entirely satisfied with due to the choice of yarn. While I appreciate the neon and black colors, I refuse to use Red Heart yarns, especially Super Saver, because of their unacceptable texture and quality stemming from poor color-dyeing processes. Their formula has deteriorated over the years, making the yarn disappointingly subpar. I’m still using it in this case because I’m drawn to the colors and the way the pattern is coming together.

Currently, I’m relaxing in bed, watching YouTube, and listening to public safety radio. I have numerous exciting projects in mind and bins full of yarn. Some yarns I cherish, and others I am ready to liquidate. I understand there’s a lot of debate among crafters regarding yarns and fabrics, especially with the fluctuating availability, as some craft stores are thriving while others are closing down.

Overall, I’m content with what’s available to us. I’m not interested in stockpiling yarns that are falling out of favor. If I find a yarn I love, I want to ensure I can source it indefinitely. I’m being very intentional about my stock and refuse to engage in panic buying. Even though there are colors I’m drawn to right now, they don’t meet my quality standards, so I am not purchasing anything. Quality matters, and I won’t compromise on that.
