Hello and welcome, everyone! I’m thrilled to share some of my thoughts and experiences with you today! Fingers crossed that Grammarly will be my ally in this endeavor—I plan to subscribe next month, so let’s see how it goes!
What a whirlwind the weekend has been! Sunday was pure chaos, so I declared Monday as my personal weekend day. Yes, today is technically Tuesday, but for me, it feels like Monday! Right now, I’m multitasking—knitting while enjoying “Dennis the Menace” on TV! Plus, I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of a book from Amazon titled “Keeping Up Appearances: Etiquette for the Less Fortunate.” Sounds intriguing, right?
I have a bunch of topics swirling in my mind, but I feel like this is turning into a diary entry. Life has been a rollercoaster lately, and I’ve got a lot to unpack—figuratively, of course! Speaking of which, let me tell you about an incident with my new neighbor’s dog that turned quite chaotic. Their gorgeous pit bull got loose on Sunday and was darting around the street like it owned the place! I made an attempt to alert the neighbors, but no one answered—turns out the kids were home alone!
In a moment of concern for the dog’s well-being, I ended up calling the police because the situation was a little unruly. The dog, although lively, was just being a playful pup and didn’t actually bite anyone. If I’d known the neighbors personally, I would’ve shot them a text instead. When the police arrived, they did a courtesy knock after mine, and we soon discovered the kids were indeed home. The mother came back, and I had a chat with both her and the officer, reassuring them that my intention was purely about the dog’s safety.
On top of that, just the day before, there was a tense police situation about 30 minutes away involving shots fired and an officer-involved shooting. It was a chaotic scene driven by an emotional disorder that spiraled out of control. The suspect made it even worse by evading arrest and endangering everyone around him! Thankfully, the police managed to de-escalate without returning fire. It really showed their commitment to safety amidst troubling situations.
I know there’s been a lot of scrutiny surrounding law enforcement lately, especially regarding incidents that have gained national attention. I can’t help but reflect on a heartbreaking case in the Midwest involving an autistic teenager that ended tragically. It’s essential to clarify that autism should never be used as an excuse for harmful actions. I feel strongly about this, particularly regarding high-profile cases like Brian Kohberger’s and the Idaho Four. It raises tough questions about how we define accountability and responsibility.
Life is good, though! I’m content and driven to become an advocate and educational figure for those with neurodivergent disorders. Autism is something you can’t cure—you can only manage the symptoms—but remember, it’s not a disease! Neither is Tourette’s; these are real neurological conditions.
I’ve also been following #BaylenOutLoud! Reality TV, like the #TeenMom franchise on MTV, has such captivating scripted storylines. Growing up, TLC was a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration for me, teaching all sorts of life skills! I learned so much from those shows—medical insights, law enforcement, and so much more. Honestly, I think TLC and #DiscoveryLife (formerly #DiscoveryHealth) played a big role in my education.
Although high school wasn’t the best time for me—I felt so out of place due to my neurodivergence—I’ve turned my interests into powerful knowledge. I focus on what excites me, allowing me to become very well-informed in my special interests. Now, that’s a subject I can’t wait to dive into in my next entry! Stay tuned!
